Scaling Human-Centered Leadership Across a Citywide Workforce System

Organization Type:
Municipal economic development agency

My microscope went from X10 to X100 resolution. As a leader, I’m looking at things with a different lens.

The Challenge

A citywide workforce ecosystem was under pressure to deliver outcomes fast. Leaders across 20+ organizations were burning out, working in silos, and navigating equity, conflict, and complexity without a shared leadership system. Funding existed, but the human infrastructure needed to sustain performance did not.

Our Role

Through a structured, six-session inneraction lab, leaders gained shared tools for communication, decision-making, conflict navigation, and bias interruption that were embedded directly into how they lead, not added on as training.

Our Solution

Leaders developed a common language and repeatable practices for human-centered leadership. Alignment improved, friction decreased, and the ecosystem shifted from transactional funding to transformational capacity-building. 100% of participants reported stronger humanity-centered leadership skills as a result.
